If you can pay off the loan do so... I'm guessing you can't so I'll continue... if the the loan is secured on the car, then basically ya screwed. If you stop paying they will reposes the car and auction it for grossly under wot it is worth. then they will pursue you for the rest. thing is, once the car is gone they can whistle for the rest as they hav nothing to threatin you with but a default, ccj or charge order. ask yourself "is the car worth it?" or are ya gonna let them take it? I wouldn't recommend selling it either as you will never get the settlement figure for the value of the car... Damn I hate those car finance firms! Keep in touch mate if ya nee more info! I'm only happy to help!

You can get out of the loan by paying it off in full. If you can't afford $500/month, why did you buy the car in the first place?

If you can't pay it off, call HSBC and ask them for an alternate payment plan.
