First thing you will have to do is get him off the deed. You will need to qualify for the mortgage payment on your own income & with any other debts you might have.
Your best bet is to check w/ your current mortgage company, since you are already established w/ them. If you got your current mortgage recently and have a prepayment penalty, be careful. If you go to another company, you’ll probably have to pay - and it could be a lot!! If you refi w/ your current company, they may waive any penalties.
