Most banks have a section called “Merchant Services”. Yes there is a fee for processing each credit card. It varies with volume of credit cards used, and whether the credit card number is “swiped” into a machine or just entered manually, and whether the CSV is captured at the same time. The fee also varies with the type of credit card. American Express is one of the more expensive cards (which is why some merchants accept only Mastercard and Visa).

Although there is a fee for each transaction, if you had credit cards, you would improve your cash flow.

You need to run that one through the church hierarchy.

Contact your bank. They can probably put in touch with a credit card processor, if they aren’t one themselves. Or ask a local small business who clears their credit cards and call them.

You can use PayPal and add a “Donate Now” button…it’s free to use this service…

If you don’t want to use PayPal, you will have to sign up with a credit card merchant, which can costs hundreds of dollars.
